About Me

My name is Pranav Boyapati, a 9th grader at Harvard-Westlake. Since a young age, I have loved to read history books, which have always been my favorite genre. While other kids were reading Harry Potter, or watching Fast and Furious, I was always more interested in history and mythology, especially that of medieval Europe, and the ancient Middle East. Something about the mystique of the time enthralled me, and it also seemed interesting how empires rose and fell as time passed. While my interest in history was building, so was my interest in math and other sciences. Now, I have decided to merge these two subjects into a project to show my passion and interest in medieval studies and the sciences. In addition to a passion for medieval history, I have always had a goal of educating others in the field of STEM, because I believe the more people interested in STEM, the better it is for humanity’s future. To further this goal, I have started my own Math Program, called the Enlightened Math Circle, where I teach, and make the material and curriculum. We are teaching pre-algebra at the moment, but we will expand to Algebra I and other math levels in the future. To further my own interest in STEM, I have joined my school’s FIRST robotics team, where I serve as a Strategist and Scouting App Developer.
